In this article, we will talk to you about how to effectively grow your email list to better market your product.
Here are some tips for you:
1. Maximize social media.
People who are online are obviously on social networks too. Use creative promotions and post them on Facebook, Google+, Twitter and the like, to drive regular patrons and potential customers to your landing page for them to enter their email addresses and take advantage of your promo.
For example, you may come up with a Twitter campaign promoting your latest product that which needs email address to avail of a discount. Also, make use of the social media buttons so that others can easily share it to their circles.
2. Valuable email content.
Your list subscribed to you expecting to receive important information about what you are offering them. Be it about your product, service feature or free resource, they will expect it to be worthwhile.
So keep them subscribed with outstanding content that is too irresistible and will make them forward it to their contacts that are not yet on your email list.
3. Identify your desired niche/s.
It is important that you recognize your target audience as this will make it easier for you to market your business because you know what interests them. Without an identified niche, your email list may take longer time before it rakes in your desired results.
Or worse, people might junk your email because you are marketing to the wrong niche.
4. Take advantage of events and conferences.
Whether you are a participant in trade shows or a guest speaker in a conference, you may use this avenue to gather information for your email list.
This is a great opportunity for your business to get recognized and make people want to subscribe to you since they have witnessed first-hand what you offer—whether the amazing product trial during the trade show or the useful lecture you imparted during the conference.
5. Try guest blogging.
Create brand awareness for your company by writing articles in other blogs and websites aside from yours. This will not only strengthen your link building but also create an easy call-to-action for your online marketing campaign through email opt-in.
6. Leverage on your partnerships and affiliations.
Foster good ties with your partners and/or affiliated businesses by trading your email lists with them. Both of you will have fresh contacts to market to. You may also collaborate on promoting each other’s email correspondence with customers.
Write something about them in your website and vice versa then at the end of it encourage readers to join their mailing list.
7. Create contests.
Promote exciting contests where people are entitled to an amazing discount when they enter their email addresses. Throw in some more fun by telling them that they will receive free giveaway if they forward it to friends.
There are tools that will help you identify who among your subscribers have forwarded your email to their contacts.
8. Put it in your email signature.
The last remark always leaves a mark. So do not forget to put a link in your email signature driving the recipient to a landing page where they may enter their details to subscribe.
Indicate why signing up will be beneficial to them like regular updates about new products or other promotions. Create a simple and concise step by step process how they can sign up to your email list.
Never underestimate the power of the email list. It may seem that simple yet it is a very helpful tool for any business who would want to grow their market.
Many other online marketing strategies may surface but nurturing your email list and developing it more still remains to be one of the best approaches you can apply in your business to bring in the sales.
